Disastrous Delicacy

For Family Home Evening this week, I was on treat. I decided that I wanted to make peach cobbler. Well, the recipe required self rising flour, and we didn't have any. My mom told me to just put in a teaspoon baking powder and half a teaspoon of salt. She meant to simply add that to the flour, but I thought that she meant for me to put that in instead of the flour. So that is exactly what I did, put sugar, milk, peaches, and one tsp. baking powder and half a teaspoon salt. When it came out of the oven, boy did it look peculiar. It was just a bunch of peaches floating in some odd looking liquid. When my mom saw it she asked me to tell her what I had done. She sure got a surprise when I told her that I hadn't added the flour. Oh well, it didn't taste to bad, and now I know that all cobbler must have FLOUR!

Frenship Middle School

I am now in the sixth grade, and boy is it different! I go to Frenship Middle School. I love all of my teachers and classes and am getting used to switching classes, but I still feel like it's a lot different from elementary! My favorite classes are Art, GT, Honors Math, and Reading. My favorite teacheres are Mr. Messerschmidt, Mrs.Schoenrock, Mrs.Robertson, and Mrs.Bills. The one thing that I don't like about middle school, is that I have to leave for school a half hour earlier than I used too, just to get there in time. Well, I still think middle school is great, and I'm glad I get to go to it!
